Fun with the Easy Twist Ruler

At the beginning of the year, I did the Declutter Challenge put on by Karen of Just Get It Done Quilts .  During this I made a list of projects I wanted to do this year and using the Easy Twist Ruler was on the list.  I don't think they make this ruler anymore, but here is the website with instructions on how to use it.   I think I got the ruler for free at some "free" table years ago.  It was so much fun to make these, that if one is good....two is better.

Here is a picture of the ruler:

This is the first one I made.  I needed squares to use in the quilt....so of course I had to use my handy box of 2.5 inch squares to make blocks.....could I have just used a simple pretty fabric?  I could have, but if I can make it harder....I will.

This is the second quilt I made with the Easy Twist Ruler.  I decided that I hadn't done any paper piecing in a while, so I downloaded a pattern from Ten Cow Quilts.  The pattern is called Woven Star.
